Manchester City midfielder Ilkay Gundogan is convinced his game is improving this season.
The Germany international is delighted to have added goalscoring to his armoury.
He told Sky Deutschland: "In the past there have been very positive moments, in which I played just as well. Today I added goals, that's why my performance stands out more.
"I have a more offensive role, more freedom to attack, but it depends on the hard work I do. I also like to defend, when I am deeper I have more chance of having the ball at my feet and I feel more responsible. This flexibility is good for me and for the team."
Gundogan continued: "If we continue like this, we will be favourites for the title. There is still a lot of work to do, as a team and as individuals. We know what we have built and what responsibilities we have, we want to win."
