Manchester City midfielder Bernardo Silva says Portugal players are under no illusions how important qualifying for the World Cup is.

Portugal meet North Macedonia this week for a place in Qatar 2022.

Bernardo said: "We don't really know what to expect. You can play with a lower block, but also pressurising. We've already had the opportunity to see some moments of them. We know that they are an aggressive team in duels, that always try to play with the ball.

"The responsibility of being present at the World Cup means that, regardless of the opponent, we always have that pressure. The pressure of being present in Qatar exists and we accepted it. We know perfectly well that we have to be in Qatar."
