Manchester City management are ready to include young midfielder Emyr Huws in their first team plans next season.
The young Welshman is currently impressing on-loan at Birmingham City.
"For one so young, he has been very influential," a Brum source told the Manchester Evening News.
"He has grabbed games by the scruff of the neck and dominated them.
"He is still a bit raw, and there are times in games where you don't see him, but we have had 28 loan players at Birmingham in the three years since relegation, and he and Ravel Morrison are easily the best, in terms of talent and influencing games."
