AS Roma defender Mehdi Benatia is a summer target for Europe's biggest clubs - including Manchester United and Manchester City.
L'Equipe says Manchester United and Manchester City are facing a battle with Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Paris St-Germain for Roma's French defender Benatia when the transfer window opens again.
The 26-year-old, who only joined the Serie A high-flyers from Udinese in a 13.5million euros deal last summer, has impressed with his displays this term.
His agent, Moussa Sissoko is quoted as saying: "Roma officials know other big clubs are interested. A meeting with the club is due in the coming days and then we will see which challenge Mehdi will choose."
