Manchester City are being linked with a move for LA Galaxy star Landon Donovan. The USA international is reportedly being targeted by the cashed-up English club who have identified the 28-year old as a key transfer target this summer.

A Yahoo! Sports report suggested that City had a scout at all four of the USA's World Cup matches and after impressive performances by Donovan, there is now significant interest.

Donovan enjoyed a successful loan spell with City's Premier League rivals Everton earlier this year and is also a target for the Toffees with manager David Moyes expressing his interest a potential return for the US' all-time leading scorer.
