Man City likely to call back Celtic loanee Denayer

Manchester City are set to recall Jason Denayer from his Celtic loan this summer.

The Scottish giants are hoping the 19-year old Belgian defender can return to Celtic Park for a second season-long loan next term after impressing during the current campaign.

Denayer has been an integral part of Ronny Deila's Hoops outfit and it is believed the Norwegian wants him back in Glasgow for the 2015/16 season but the Daily Mirror suggests Manuel Pellegrini will call him back to the Etihad Stadium.

The Chilean feels his young academy players are not quite ready to make the step up so will call on this season's loanees, including Denayer, to strengthen his squad.

Denayer, who joined City's academy in 2013, has made 33 appearances in all competitions for Celtic this term including 19 starts in the Scottish Premiership.
