Manchester City legend Francis Lee believes Alvaro Negredo's arrival has inspired Sergio Aguero this season.
The pair were outstanding in City's rout of Champions League opponents CSKA Moscow this week.
"He [Aguero] is benefiting amazingly from the inclusion of Negredo in this team because Negredo is a big, skilful type of old fashioned centre forward," Lee told talkSPORT.
"He's good in the air, he picks the ball up, he uses it well and Sergio is now having a different lease of life. Before he was the lead striker having the ball played into his feet when he's got his back to the defender.
"This guy [Negredo] has taken a lot of the brunt of that and Sergio is receiving the ball going the right way facing the opposition goal."
