Manchester City are launching a bid for Athletic Bilbao midfielder Javi Martinez.
The Daily Star Sunday says City are planning a £25m swoop for Martinez.
City have watched the Spain midfielder cum- centre-half SEVEN times this season and manager Roberto Mancini wants him at the Etihad Stadium.
Martinez, 23, helped Bilbao KO Man United in the Europa League.
