Man City keeper Hart not thinking about England

Manchester City goalkeeper Joe Hart won't let praise from gaffer Sven Goran Eriksson go to his head.

Former England boss Eriksson named Hart as his number one earlier in the season and the 20-year-old has responded with four clean sheets in seven games going into the match against West Ham tomorrow.

Hart said: "It obviously means a lot for someone like Sven to say what he did but I am not going to read too much into it.

"It is down to me and no one else - I've got to dig in and do my own thing.

"Don't get me wrong, I'd be a happy man if I was involved but I'm not going to get ahead of myself.

"The 21s are enjoyable at the moment and we've got a good thing going on."

Hart has been walking on air since Eriksson put him ahead of Andreas Isaksson and Kasper Schmeichel in the Eastlands pecking order.

"I have greater confidence and am more determined to keep my place," the former Shrewsbury star told www.mcfc.co.uk.

"The other goalkeepers are brilliant and we keeping pushing each other on."
