Manchester City are tracking Espanyol defender Eric Bertrand Bailly.
The 20 year-old Ivorian has played just five first team games for Espanyol, but has City, Bayern Munich and Juventus monitoring his progress.
Sport says Espanyol have already turned down an approach from Villarreal to take Bailly on-loan as a replacement for imminent Arsenal signing Gabriel Paulista.
However, the sale of Bailly cannot be ruled out with Espanyol experiencing financial difficulty.
Espanyol share Bailly's registration 50:50 with management group, Promoesport.
