Manchester City are ready to outbid all rivals for Real Madrid striker Gonzalo Higuain.
City are now showing a firm interest in the £35millionrated star, who has fallen behind Karim Benzema in the pecking order at the Bernabeu, says the People.
Real manager Jose Mourinho's preference of using the Frenchman ahead of Higuain means he is open to offers from other clubs in the summer, despite being contracted to the Spanish side until 2016.
Chelsea have also been monitoring Higuain's situation in Madrid, but they will wait to speak to their new manager to see if the player fits in with his plans. City boss Roberto Mancini already has an embarrassment of riches up front with Sergio Aguero, Mario Balotelli and Edin Dzeko.
