Manchester City is close to securing the signature of Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand, according to Sky Sports.
City have prioritised the England defender after their original choice at left-back, Benjamin Mendy, was priced at £40m by his club, Monaco.
It is understood that Bertrand and Tottenham's Kyle Walker will be City players by the end of next week.
Bertrand, 27, will double his current 55,000-per-week wages if he completes a deal to the Etihad.
