Man City hero Silva: Last season my toughest title win

David Silva says last season's Premier League title win was the toughest of his career.

The Citizens won the title by only one point to Liverpool, a final match-day win over Brighton proving enough to be crowned champions.

And Silva, who has announced he will leave City next summer, thinks last season's success was the toughest of his four Premier League title wins.

Silva said: "It was definitely the hardest title to win. Especially with us and Liverpool being so strong.

"We both got so many points but the title wasn't decided until the last day of the season.

"After January we didn't lose a single game domestically and that's a really hard thing to do in England. That's pressure, because at that level of competition you know one defeat can cost you the league.

"Mentally it was very draining and there were times when I doubted if we would win the title.

"Especially the last game, with the dry grass, when Brighton scored first, but we managed to come back from that and win 4-1."
