Manchester City legend Franny Lee has slammed duo Eliaquim Mangala and Fernando on social media.

It was surprisingly revealed by website whoscored.com that Fernando and Mangala boasted a passing success rate of 89% and 87.4% respectively last season, despite the duo's relatively poor campaigns for City.

City great Lee was not impressed by such flattering stats though and has taken to Twitter to slam the Brazilian midfielder and French centre-half.

Responding to a tweet by @MCFCInfo, he said: "If Fernando and Mangala are topping the passing stats it only underlines the uselessness of bringing maths into football tactics!

"To quote my late Mother 'They would struggle to pass a message on'"
