Manchester City fullback Benjamin Mendy has accepted his omission from France's Euros squad.

A member of the 2018 World Cup winning squad, Mendy failed to make the cut for the preliminary line-up named by France coach Didier Deschamps.

Lucas Digne (Everton) and Lucas Hernandez (Bayern Munich) were named by Deschamps ahead of Mendy.

However, the defender offered his best wishes to the squad after the line-up was named.

"Good luck brothers, we are counting on you for everything," he said on social media.
