Man City cruise past Hamburg in Abu Dhabi friendly

Manchester City have defeated Hamburg 2-0 in a friendly match in Abu Dhabi.

Manuel Pellegrini used a much-changed City line-up, resting the likes of Joe Hart and Vincent Kompany, to get the better of the German side who are struggling in the Bundesliga this season.

City opened the scoring in the 51st minute when England U19 international George Evans set up Stevan Jovetic who finished coolly after a nice run.

The second goal came on 80 minutes through Edin Dzeko who got on the end of a James Milner cross before firing home.

The reigning Premier League champions will now prepare for their FA Cup fourth round meeting with Middlesbrough at the Etihad Stadium on Saturday.
