Manchester City are expecting Valencia to stay true to their word by buying Alvaro Negredo.
The 29-year old striker joined the Spanish club on a season-long loan last summer with the view to a permanent move to the Mestalla.
Reports in Spain suggested that los Che were looking to pull out of the £24million deal in order to make an offer for Monaco's Manchester United loanee Radamel Falcao but City are reportedly confident that they will hold Valencia to the agreement for the former Sevilla man at the end of the season.
