Manchester City are finalising a deal for Porto midfielder Fernando.
The Mirror says City are confident of tying up a £20m summer deal for Porto midfielder Fernando.
City boss Manuel Pellegrini tried to get Fernando and his Porto team-mate Eliaquim Mangala in a £40m deal in January.
They are still keen on both but it is believed they have made a breakthrough on Fernando even though he recently signed a new deal at Porto.
That contract included a £20m buy-out clause and has made the deal easier, while City will also go back for French defender Mangala.
