Manchester City are closing in on young Argentine youngster Ezequiel Munoz.

Calcionews24 says City are on the brink of landing the Boca Juniors defender.

Fiorentina are also interested in the youngster and reportedly had a bid turned down for him in January, while Manchester City are set to price the Italian side out of the race for Munoz's signature.

Should Munoz arrive at Eastlands, he could pair up with new signing, 21-year-old Jerome Boateng to bring a youthful feel to Mancini's defence.
