Manchester City chief Txiki Begiristain is making a major play for Santos star Neymar. The Manchester Evening News says Begiristain met with the agent and the father of Brazil star Neymar in London this week.
The 21-year-old striker, said to have a £50million price tag slapped on him by his club Santos, claimed prior to his national team's defeat by England that no decisions had been taken about his future.
That was in response to reports that he had already signed a pre-contract agreement with Barcelona.
Pini Zahavi, the 'super-agent'. was at the dinner at a top London restaurant, along with Begiristain and former Barcelona supremo Joan Laporta, now a Catalan MP.
Neymar's father Neymar da Silva is also said to have been there along with family friends.
