Universidad de Chile winger Matias Rodriguez is wanted by Manchester City.

The Mirror says the Italian is looking to boost his Argentinian contingent still further with a move for right-winger Rodriguez - the hottest star in Chilean club football.

Mancini's spies have teed up a ­£7million deal for 26-year-old Rodriguez, who helped Universidad de Chile win the Copa Sudamericana, the equivalent of the Europa League.

The wide man would have little ­problem settling in as fellow Argentines Carlos Tevez, Sergio Aguero and Pablo Zabaleta are already at the Etihad.
