Man City captain Kompany calm about his contract situation

Manchester City captain Vincent Kompany is calm about his contract situation, with his deal to expire in June.

The defender says he was happy to wait until the end of the season before discussing terms.

"I'm just very fortunate in that I have a very good relationship with the club and I don't need to force myself into making decisions" he says.

"The club also doesn't need to rush in making a decision - that's not what it's about. There are still four competitions still to play for, this could still be the best-ever season we've experienced and that is the priority. Everything else, we can sit down, have a chat, have a drink and make a decision that's best for everyone."
