Manchester City are building an alliance of clubs around the world.
AS says Atletico Madrid are the latest to join City's membership, which is planned to have a minimum ten clubs and a maximum of 12.
For the moment, the alliance involves City, Atletico, Raja Casablanca (Morocco), Al Ain (UAE), United Muangthong (Thailand), Shanghai Shenhua ( China) and America (Mexico).
There also talks with teams from Brazil (Atletico Paranaense, Palmeiras and Internacional), U.S.A (New York Red Bulls, San Jose Earthquakes and Chivas USA) and Japan (Yokohama Marinos and FC Tokyo) with one being selected from each of the three nations.
