Man City brace for 'first' Bayern Munich offer for Sane

Manchester City expect Bayern Munich to push hard for Leroy Sane.

The Mirror says reports of Bayern having a £70million bid rejected by the Premier League champions are inaccurate.

Indeed, Etihad bosses are still waiting for contact from Bayern, after their executives Uli Hoeness and Karl-Heinz Rummenigge angered the Manchester side by making their interest in the Germany winger known in newspaper interviews.

But City are now expecting the Bundesliga champions to step up their efforts after fresh negotiations to secure the 23-year-old on a fresh long-term contract did not end in an agreement.

Sane has two years on his current deal and, as we revealed last week, he is valued at more than £100m by the Blues.
