Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has called on Brazil coach Luiz Felipe Scolari to call up Fernandinho.

Pellegrini admits he cannot understand why midfielder Fernandinho is not in Scolari's Brazil squad ahead of next summer's World Cup.

Fernandinho scored twice against Arsenal and Pellegrini said: "Yes, I'm surprised he's not in.

"But I think before the World Cup Scolari will see what a good player he is."
