Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has welcomed his new £24 million signing Yaya Toure from Barcelona.
Mancini took his spending to £59million in just 48 hours by landing Toure from Barcelona and the Blues boss claims the Ivory Coast international has great experience.
Toure, 27, who is the younger brother of City skipper Kolo, won the treble with Barca in 2009 and La Liga last season and Mancini feels the midfielder will be a great asset to the club.
"This is another fantastic signing for Manchester City," said Mancini. "I'm very pleased Yaya has joined us, he's a very good player.
"Everyone knows Yaya is a player whom we have admired for a long time, and we would like to welcome him to Manchester City.
"He has played at the top level with Barcelona and I'm sure he his experience and ability will be very important for us."
Toure passed his medical in Spain after returning from the World Cup and is now on holiday for three weeks before joining up with his new City team-mates for the club's US tour later this month.
