Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has demanded Mario Balotelli wise up.

Balotelli was sent off for two yellow cards just 18 minutes after coming on as a sub in the 1-1 draw with Liverpool last week.

And Mancini said: "He did this against Dynamo Kiev last year and I should have paid attention to this situation in the game against Liverpool.

"If Mario's on the bench it's probably better I put on another striker.

"I've told you many times Mario has improved, but he can do these things. I hope it doesn't happen again."
