Manchester City have axed Nigel de Jong from their preseason tour of China and Malaysia.
The Daily Star says Roberto Mancini has left De Jong out of his squad for yesterday's flight to the Far East, increasing speculation the Holland midfielder could leave the Etihad Stadium.
Bayern Munich and Inter Milan are both keen on the Holland international and City would listen to offers in the region of £6m.
A club source said: "He flew to Austria so it was a bit of a surprise when he wasn't picked to play in any matches.
"Eyebrows were raised when he was withdrawn from the Asia tour - especially as he is not carrying an injury. He doesn't seem any closer to agreeing a new deal."
