Manchester City boss Mark Hughes remains keen on Barcelona midfielder Yaya Toure. El Mundo Deportivo says Hughes was in Pamplona to see Toure in action against Osasuna on Saturday. However, the Ivorian's place was taken by Seydou Keita.
Despite Toure signing a new deal to 2012, Hughes is convinced they have the spending power to land the midfielder. The prospect of playing with older brother Kolo at Eastlands remains a big pull for Yaya.
Both Hughes and Barca sports director Txiki Begiristain confirmed they spoke on Saturday, but denied claims they discussed any players.
