Manchester City boss Mark Hughes is confident they won't be sucked into the relegation battle after their draw at Fulham.
Hughes insists he is not worried by City's position in the lower half of the table, and does not believe City will be in a relegation battle.
"That's just virtue of the way the Premier League is this year," he said.
"We're down near the bottom of the table but a couple of back-to-back wins and quite quickly you're in the top half so we're not unduly concerned.
"We've got a lot of players out at the moment but once we get everybody back we'll hopefully be stronger in the second half of the season which all my teams are historically.
"We just need to get a few bodies back and make sure we get points on the board. We're definitely looking upwards, not downwards."
