Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he'll take a first look at Philippe Sandler in preseason.

City snapped up the PEC Zwolle defender in January and he will kickoff his Premier League career later this year in preason.

Guardiola told Ziggo Sport: "He is in the preseason with us.

"You have to see the players every day, so I cannot tell if he needs time. He does have the potential to become a better player. We can help him with that.

"We are going to see if he will need time."
