Man City boss Guardiola happy to ease De Bruyne back

Manchester City boss Pep Guardiola says he's happy to ease Kevin de Bruyne back into action.

Fully fit from a long-term hamstring injury, De Bruyne is set to see action against FA Cup opponents Huddersfield on Sunday.

"I don't ask Kevin to play at his level now. We can not force him or any player in this situation returning from a long injury," said Guardiola.

"It's a time to be calm, play good minutes, do the principles he has to do and the rest will come.

De Bruyne sustained an injury on the opening match of the season against Burnley

"I had a quite similar experience during my football career. I was out for one year with hamstring problems and when you come back, pfff, you need time.

"It's not 'OK, he plays and it's the best Kevin'.

"He has to be relaxed, enjoy the minutes he is going to play, try to help us to win the games.

"Kevin maybe in 20 minutes can help us more right now than 90 and after his body will dictate how many minutes more he can get."
