Manchester City boss Sven-Goran Eriksson is confident of having a new man in goal against Derby on Wednesday, with Marco Amelia set to come in.
With Sweden international Andreas Isaksson sidelined with a broken finger, Eriksson was forced to hand 20 year old Kasper Schmeichel his senior debut at West Ham on Saturday.
Yet Eriksson is keen to bring in a more experienced keeper as City look to build on their triumphant start to the season.
"It is right that we bring in a new goalkeeper and a new one will arrive shortly," said the Swede.
"We have two very good young goalkeepers but I don't think you should place so much responsibility on them at this time in their careers. Goalkeepers need experience."
Having missed out on Scott Carson, who joined Aston Villa on loan from Liverpool last week, Eriksson will probably turn his attentions to Livorno's Amelia, current deputy to Gianluigi Buffon in the Italian national side.
