Manchester City attacker David Silva is in talks with Vissel Kobe.

El Chiringuito TV says the City playmaker could follow in the footsteps of Andres Iniesta and David Villa in joining the Japanese side, with reports from Spain suggesting Silva is in talks with Kobe over a deal.

Kobe have a number of high profile names from Europe on their books, including Lukas Podolski, Thomas Vermaelen and Sergi Samper.

It comes after the Spanish midfielder had been linked with a move to David Beckham's new club Inter Miami, with Silva said to be open to a move to the MLS, as well as a return to hometown club Las Palmas.
