Arsenal and Manchester City are chasing Borussia Dortmund midfielder Mario Goetze.Kicker says the 20-year-old attacking midfielder has had another impressive season that has seen Dortmund reach the semi-finals of the Champions League after claiming the Bundesliga title last season.

Manchester City are reportedly prepared to meet the German international's €40million release clause with the Gunners also interested - although they are unlikely to be able to compete with the Blues in the financial stakes.

Goetze's performances against City in the group stages of the Champions League have attracted the attention of sporting director Txiki Begiristain who is understood to have met with the player's representatives.
