Man City and Swansea agree Wilfried Bony fee

Manchester City and Swansea City have agreed a fee over Wilfried Bony's transfer. The London Evening Standard says Bony, the Premier League's top scorer in the 2014 calendar year, is set for a move to the Etihad after Swansea City agree to a transfer fee close to £30m.

Transfer rumours have been flowing for weeks and Swansea manager Gary Monk has been adamant that City reach Swansea's valuation of the player, saying that it would take an "astronomical fee" to prize the Ivorian away from the Welsh side.

But the financial pull of the Premier League champions proved enough to separate Swansea from arguably their best player.

The £30m offer made by Manchester City is £18m more than the club-record fee that was spent to bring Bony in from Vitesse Arnhem in 2013.
