Manchester City midfielder Samir Nasri admits he could've joined Real Madrid in the past. Nasri says a switch was close before he left Olympique Marseille for Arsenal in 2008.

"An offer from Real Madrid? There was a negotiation for me in the past," Nasri revealed to Le Sport 10.

"The president of Marseille, Pape Diouf, said one player could leave.

"But it was Franck Ribery, who joined Bayern Munich, so I had to stay another year in Marseille and then I went to Arsenal."
