Man City ace David Silva names his 'Best XI' - without a striker!

Manchester City midfielder David Silva has picked his all-time favourite XI - and hasn't included a striker!

Instead, Silva goes with Barcelona star Lionel Messi and great Real Madrid rival Cristiano Ronaldo as his front two.

"Up top I choose Messi because for me he has been the best of all time. Nor have I had the opportunity to see other veteran players," declared Silva.

David Silva's top XI:

Goalkeeper:Iker Casillas "I played a lot of with him and I have won many things with him. He's the best."

Rightback: Cafu "He won many titles and was a player I loved because he was very attacking."

Centre-half:Sergio Ramos "I played with him and have achieved a lot with him. He is one of the best defenders in the world."

Centre-half:Carles Puyol "Puyol, because I've played with him and he was a great player A player who has much self-respect."

Left-back: Roberto Carlos "He was a very offensive player and therefore we select him."

Midfielder:Claude Makelele "For holding role."

Midfielder; Patrick Vieira "I met him, he's got many things and is one of the best."

Attacking midfielder:Luis Figo "On the left or right side he was a dominating player."

Attacking midfielder: Michael Laudrup "Because he was my idol and I have to put him in."

Strikers:: Messi and Ronaldo.
