Real Mallorca striker Dani Guiza revealed he was congratulated on his Spain call-up by Real Madrid captain Raul prior to last night's 4-3 defeat to the Liga leaders.

Raul was again overlooked by Spain coach Luis Aragones as he named his latest squad yesterday, but the Real ace bore no grudges to Guiza, who revealed: "Raul is simply a great guy.

"He congratulated me before the game kicked off, wished me luck and told me to grab this chance I have with Spain."

On the defeat, Guiza added: "We're angry because to score three goals away from home and still lose makes you look stupid."
