Real Mallorca have held a fresh round of talks with the father of Jonas Gutierrez over Portsmouth's fresh interest in the winger.
Ricardo Gutierrez, says Marca, has asked Mallorca about compensation should Jonas be injured before he gets his move to Portsmouth in January.
Jonas was left out of Mallorca's squad for Sunday's 4-3 defeat at Real Madrid and his father's demand has only added to the deteriorating relationship between the club and player.
Velez Sarsfield, which co-owner Jonas with Mallorca, had agreed to sell their 50 per cent share in June, but Pompey's interest has accelerated developments.
