Real Mallorca coach Gregorio Manzano admits they're on the brink of Champions League qualification.

Victory over Athletic Bilbao yesterday has Mallorca firmly in fourth place.

"It's a major step towards the Champions League but it's not over and we must maintain the same enthusiasm and ambition," Manzano said.

"The idea was clear, come here to win. It was not easy because Athletic has pressed a lot through game, but we have managed to neutralise it and we're very happy. With today's results we had to take this step to try to reach the Champions League."
