Malaga remain hopeful of signing Arsenal striker Nicklas Bendtner.

They hope to enlist the 25-year-old's wife in a bid to bring the player to Malaga.

AS says Caroline Luel-Brockdorff, a Danish socialite with ties to Costa del Sol, is thought to be in favour of a change of scenery.

But whether that is enough to get Bendtner to consider the cut in wages that would facilitate the move remains to be seen.
