Malaga manager Manuel Pellegrini has emerged as a target for the vacant Chelsea managerial job.
The 57-year old Chilean, who has previously managed Real Madrid and Villarreal among others, is one person that the Blues are looking at following the sacking of Carlo Ancelotti on the weekend.
Pellegrini's agent, Jesus Martinez, told Chilean radio Cooperativa that his client was somebody the Stamford Bridge club is interested in.
"It is normal for clubs without a coach, such as Chelsea, through intermediaries, to start asking Pellegrini, but he is very comfortable at Malaga and has a contract there," he said.
"He has put a lot of effort into Malaga and is pleased and excited to work with the team."
Malaga finished 11th on the La Liga table this season which was Pellegrini's first in charge at La Rosaleda.
