Christian Maggio is keen to discuss a new deal with Napoli.

The midfielder has been in contact about a contract extension with Napoli for some months.

"I do hope that the club soon arrange a meeting for us to define his future," Massimo Briaschi told Radio CRC.

"Maggio is contracted to Napoli until June 2013, so for now he'll remain with the outfit until that date.

"Maggio is liked by a number of clubs because there are few players with his characteristics in Italy right now.

"However, we've never spoken to other clubs because Napoli have always considered Maggio as too important a player to sell."
