Real Madrid manager Rafa Benitez remains tight lipped on his goalkeeping conundrum, but has admitted that competition for Madrid's number one jersey is a good thing.
Los Blancos have been linked with moves for Manchester United's David De Gea, and RCD Espanyol shot-stopper Kiko Casilla, who came through the youth system at Real.
Benitez, speaking in Melbourne on the eve of Madrid's International Champions Cup campaign, said he had spoken with current number one Keylor Navas about his role in the squad, but did not rule out adding another keeper before the new campaign kicks off in August.
"De Gea is not our player at the moment, and that is not our subject," said Benitez in Melbourne.
"We've got some great goalkeepers here at Real Madrid. Navas, I have spoken to him, he is our number one at the moment, he is more experienced than the other keepers, so he is our number one for now.
"In terms of other keepers that the press is talking about, I think you know who they are, Casilla and De Gea.
"I think with any position it is good to have more competition because that is what makes the players and that position get stronger."
