Former Manchester United captain Lou Macari is confident everyone connected to the club is behind David Moyes.
Macari wrote in The Sentinel: "I want to make it clear here and now that I am quite happy to stick up for David and not join all those putting the boot in.
"I have to make that point because it's so easy for comments to be twisted to suit people's agendas. I was working with Ron Atkinson at Saturday's game and can assure you he was not in the least bit critical of David, nor would I expect him to be.
"And yet I woke up to headlines that suggested even Big Ron was jumping on the bandwagon.
"We've also had Rio Ferdinand's comment, the one about how he'd prefer the United team to be named earlier, being turned into another attack on his manager.
"Rio has been forced to come out and clarify his comments and I believe him.
"David Moyes is an easy target when United aren't winning every week because he's the big change from last season."
