Argentina midfielder Alexis Mac Allister has described his LiverpoolPremier League debut as one he can never forget.

The former Brighton creative talent earned the chance to showcase his quality at Stamford Bridge against Chelsea.

While his team could only manage a draw away from home on opening weekend, Mac Allister was so glad to get his competitive debut for the Reds.

"A great joy to be able to debut with this great shirt, and that I waited so long," he told Paramount+ after the game.

"Since I made my debut with this shirt, I'm really looking forward to my first game.

“After a hard pre-season, it happened, and well, it's also a joy to have my family in the stadium supporting me. A day I will never forget."
