Olympique Lyon are chasing Sunderland captain Lorik Cana.

The Journal says Lyon are eyeing Cana after seeing Patrick Vieira snub them for Manchester City last week.

Sunderland paid £5m for Cana this summer, and having made the 26-year-old his priority signing in the summer, it is hard to see Steve Bruce letting him go, even for a large profit - especially at a time when the squad is suffering badly with injuries.
