French club Lyon and Manchester United are in discussions regarding the transfer of Rafael.

According to L'Equipe, Lyon and United are negotiating a potential £7million deal for the Brazilian full-back.

Rafael, 25, has fallen down the pecking order at Old Trafford under Louis van Gaal and is set to be sold following the arrival of Italian right-back Matteo Darmian from Torino.

The former Fluminense youngster, who has 12 months to run on his Red Devils deal, will reportedly travel to France for a medical on Monday.
