Lyon coach Rudi Garcia won't shut the door on signing Crystal Palace defender Mamadou Sakho this summer.

OL president Jean-Michel Aulas raised the prospect of signing Sakho last week.

And yesterday, Garcia told RTL: "Mamadou Sakho? Many names have been given. What I can certify is that indeed we are looking for a central defender.

"There are only three: Marcelo, Denayer and Andersen. We need to recruit.

“A lot of names will circulate. Only Juni and Bruno (Cheyrou) are working on it. We need a little leadership in this team, but there are also leaders who are young. Rather, we are looking at relatively young rather than experienced central defenders.

"Even if Sakho's sporting record is a very good record. After me there are things where I don't know if it can be done financially or not. There's no point in giving names."
